Double take – Double denim

Hej med jer,

(English below)

A little post in the summer heat. Rikke and I have made another douple post with clothes from Yours Clothing. This time we have focused on what is comfortable in the summer heat. There is double up on denim, because it is so nice and easy to style. I chose the denim jumpsuit, which I chose to style with a 70ies inspired kimono from H&M and a pair of tan wedges. Rikke chose a more 50ies inspired look with denim shorts, bandana and Converse. We wanted to show you the versatility of the denim 🙂

OOTD – Casual wedding

Hej med jer,

(English below)

I went to a wedding two weeks ago, but forgot my camera. So I didn’t get any pictures of my outfit. But I have recreated it for you here.

The dress is from Monsoon, who are really good at making romantic colourful dresses. It was a casual wedding in a garden, so I decided to go for a maxi dress so I could change into flats, when the stillettos were not practical anymore. I have to admit that was after about 5 minutes 😉 The jersey fabric makes the dress casual, but the colour and details ensure that it is still elegant enough for a wedding.

I experimented with a lot of different hairstyles in the weeks before the wedding (I guess I am a perfectionist ;-)), but ended up with a classic ballerina bun afterall. To make it a bit more dramatic I teased the hair and scrabed it back to get a little volume on top. I also added a braid, which is really one of those hairbands you can buy everywhere. I cut off the elastic part and gathered each end with a small rubber band. It is just pinned with hair pins on the outside of the bun. I think that adds the little extra something to the classic style.

The ceremony was so beautiful and the party was fantastic! There was singing, drinking and dancing on bare feet all night long. I love that kind of parties much more than the formal affairs 😉

OOTD – Beige biker and pink leo

Hej med jer,

(English below)

This outfit from last week is really a go to outfit for me. Jeans and a blazer/jacket, as you might have noticed, is something I wear often. It is simple, but nice and can be varied in so many ways. It can be dressed up or down. I think if I could only chose one type of outfit for the rest of my life, I would probably choose jeans and blazer (even though I would miss dresses! ;-))

The jacket is really an outdoor summer jacket, but I don’t care. I think most types of thin jackets can be used as a blazer. As usually I have bought it a size too small (it also only went up to a UK18) so I cannot zip it. It is actually a tip I have from Trinny and Susannah 😉 You look slimmer, when you jacket cannot be done up, because it creates a line in the middle and there is no extra fabric right there. So if you do not close your jacket anyway, you might as well size down.

I denne weekend starter min sommerferie. Yay, tre ugers ferie!
This weekend my vacation starts. Yay, three weeks off work! I am off to spend the weekend with some fabulous girls in a house by the beach. Just chilling and drinking drinks and making great food of course. I hope you all enjoy the summer as well.

Sneak peak – Accessories

Hej med jer,

(English below)

I have been with out the cable to my camera the past week or so, so I have not been able to get the pictures on to the computer, but it has resurfaced (at my sisters) og I can finally show you some of the last week’s outfits! Her is a little sneak peak of some of the accessories I have worn with my outfits. Often it is really the accessories (and the shoes!) that moves an oufit from drap to fab.

 Shoes – Aldo // Clutch – Aldo // Necklace – H&M
Shoes – Sam Edelman // Necklace – Lindex // Clutch – Made by my mom 🙂
 Shoes – Deichmann (ca. 2009) // Scarf – H&M // Clutch – Made by my mom
Keep an eye out for the rest of the outfits during the coming week 🙂
