Copenhagen Fashion Week 1 – I Picture You / You Picture Me by Carmakoma

Hej med jer,

(English below)

As promised, here is the first of my posts covering the curvy options during Copenhagen Fashion Week. This post is dedicated to Carmakoma’s collaboration with the National Organisation against eating disorders and selfharm.

The show was a statement show ment to show size diversity and featured models from EU36-EU48/UK8-UK20. It took place right in the middle of Copenhagen Central Station in the afternoon rush hour and it started as a quiet flashmob that evolved into a very nice, but complex choreography that was much more than a regular fashion show. A very, very nice statement that really got the message across, not least because of the suitcases containing the model’s own quotes on body image.

Modellerne kommer ind to og to i stilhed og tager opstilling // The models enter in pairs and in silence they take their places
Christina “leder” efter sin plads // Christina “looking for” her spot
Kufferterne væltes med et brag // The suitcases are knocked over with a loud bang
Modellerne går rundt i cirkler, ind og ud mellem hinanden // The models walk around in circles, weaving in and out between each other

Kecia Lies kuffert med citat // Kecia Lie’s suitcase and quote
Line Mikkelsens kuffert og citat // Line Mikkelsen’s suitcase and quote
